Welcome to Spring and the lighter days and some sunshine !

We hope you all are having a good 2017 so far

We are continuing our alterations, expansions and improvements in the nurseries. At Channings Rochdale, we have opened the new toddler room and will soon be opening the new baby room. We will then have 4 lovely rooms.

The number of children and babies at Rochdale has been escalating very quickly recently, we therefore have many, many, new staff.  A warm welcome to all our new children and staff.

We have ongoing plans for our outdoor play environment, we can make a start on this now the weather is improving.

All Channings nurseries are now sending out monthly newsletters. We hope you will find these informative and useful.

Our parents and children are loving the Channings children’s uniform that we now offer to all our nurseries. Our little people look so smart. Please ask your manager for details.

Every week, all our children, babies and staff are very busy with indoor and outdoor play, learning and fun.  We have been busy making things for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s day and currently for   Easter, with an Easter bonnet competition. For Comic Relief our children dressed in red and all the activities that week were themed red. For St  David’s Day everyone dressed in yellow and for St Patrick’s Day we wore green with green activities. The next event will be for St George’s Day,  it’ll be red and white clothes and red and white activities. Children learn about the patron saints whilst having fun.

Tempest Photographers came into all our nurseries in March.  A day was spent in each nursery capturing all the cute faces.  The next dates for Tempest to come in are the week commencing 19th June and 16th October 2017.  Tempest have a free mobile phone app. This is great for parents who can keep their own child’s images in a library.

Channings Childcare have a new van with our lovely colourful logo. You’ll see the van around and about I’m sure.

That was a busy first quarter of 2017.   Phew !!
