Channings Childcare Nursery, Kingsway, Rochdale

Despite the covid pandemic, it was business as usual for us and so November 2020 saw us open our final nursery Kingsway.

Catherine had had her eye on the building for many years, so when she drove past one day and realised it was up for sale, she knew she wanted it for a nursery. It was originally a large house which was used as a children’s home. Sharon used to take toys there for the children to play with. It has most recently been used as offices, but we have converted it back to being used for children. The building needed a new roof, then the pandemic was upon us…so the process took a little longer than anticipated. Now it is a beautifully warm and inviting nursery set over two floors.

Nursery Location

This nursery is conveniently located on Kingsway, on the A664, Rochdale. Gordon Rigg’s Garden Centre, Sandbrook Park and Rochdale Town centre are all a few minutes away. We’re easily accessible from the A627M and the M62.

Our baby has had an amazing first week at Channings. He loves the ladies and has big smiles and lots of laughs for them...

I have just dropped Maisie off at nursery and I’m so envious of Christmas PJ day, looks like you are going to have so much fun!

My daughter is currently in the preschool room and the staff have done an amazing job helping her to settle in.
