Testimonials – Werneth Nursery (Westlands)
We chose Channings Nursery in Werneth because I work in the area and this was a good way for me to be involved with the children’s daily routine. It was also considerably cheaper than other nurseries. This was the nursery where we both felt comfortable as soon as we walked through the doors. We felt the carers had a genuine interest in the children they cared for.
We appreciate the caring nature of the staff, the pre-school care and preparation for school life and the opportunities the children have to play and develop at a pace each child can cope with. Mr & Mrs Barber
After an unsuccessful visit to a different nursery, I ‘Googled’ for nurseries in Oldham and got the OFSTED report for Westlands. When we called to look round we were told to come straight away. This gave us confidence in knowing that there was no façade put on for new parents.
The staff are older, not youngsters, with more experience of life and they are always keen to talk to you about your child. Staff stay a long time, creating a feeling of stability. They work with you on development e.g. feeding and you are always advised if your child is different in manner due to illness, teething etc.
I never hesitate to praise Westlands and will continue to do so. Mrs Barker
Testimonials – Newhey Nursery
I viewed two other nurseries but felt that the facilities, the curriculum, the level of care and the nursery nurses were better at Channings. Sam has lots of fun whilst learning.

Channings was recommended by relatives who came here 14 years ago. We have found friendly, helpful and consistent staff and good management.

I wanted a nursery which was committed to children and parents, offering a caring environment and experienced staff. I had heard good reports of Channings and I have found that commitment to care and learning.

I was the first person to book a place at Channings. I liked the friendly and homely nursery and felt that Scott would get the stimulation, the wider experience and the confidence building he needed. He gained a lot more and is now studying for a B.A in computer design and hopes to go on to study for a PhD.
The exciting and stimulating environment so interested me that I decided to consider a career in childcare. I have developed, through training and qualifications, and I am now the Deputy Manager at Channings in Werneth.

Testimonials – Royton Nursery (Prospect House)
The mums at the baby clinic recommended the nursery to me. I chose Prospect House because I was looking for caring staff, a safe environment , term time only fees and good outdoor play provision. I wanted a ‘home from home’ nursery where I felt that my baby would be safe, loved and cared for as I would care for her. On my first visit to the nursery, I was shown round, without making an appointment, and I felt very comfortable. All the staff were really welcoming and the manager was extremely friendly and full of enthusiasm.
The staff are a credit to the nursery. They care for my daughter as I would and it is obvious how much the children love the staff. The nursery is well run by the ‘down to earth’ manager and deputy and I would not change anything.

Prospect House – Great atmosphere, good staff!

The nursery is well lead by the excellent manager, who is always warm and approachable. Discipline and good manners are valued and I appreciate the all round aims and objectives the staff aim for. The nursery is stimulating and has an excellent atmosphere; at times my child is reluctant to come home.
