On the 14th March 2010 we will be celebrating our 13th Birthday!
The children in the preschool class worked hard towards producing a Nativity play which was held as part of our Christmas Celebrations.
Our newly refurbished playground is almost completed. Due to the bad weather conditions in January the project has taken slightly longer than expected, however the end is in sight. The next step is to plant the rockery and prepare the vegetable garden for summer vegetables. This will be undertaken by a member of the Groundwork Staff working alongside the children and nursery staff.
Gary our football skills coach will return at the end of the month, once the playground work is finished.
At a recent staff meeting is was discussed that the children may be made to feel more at home if they had photographs of familiar things/people from their home- maybe parents, grandparents or pets. Parents are invited to bring along photographs to their child’s room.
Kathryn is leaving next month due to her husband’s job relocating to Cumbria. Kathryn has worked for Channings Childcare for 9 years and we wish her and Stuart every success.
Jill will take over as Deputy Manager- Jill has worked in childcare for 22 years the last two at our nursery as a senior member of staff.
